ABOUT THE HONOREES:
Congressman Robert A Brady
The Philadelphia Inquirer, in considering the nominations for the Citizen of the Year Award wrote “U.S. Rep. Bob Brady was nominated, but it might have been more fitting for a “lifetime achievement” award.” “Who came to the rescue for the Mummers parade, the Philadelphia pro cycling race, dredging the port, to help end the SEPTA strike, and keep the Dad Vail race in town? “No other citizen comes close in contributions to the Delaware Valley.” As a Representative in the United States Congress, Congressman Brady has brought much needed federal resources to our region. From lights on the Platt Bridge to low-income housing to the proton knife at the University of Pennsylvania, we recognize the work he does in Washington improves, and sometimes saves, lives throughout the Delaware Valley.  As our Leadership Award Honoree, we recognize his commitment to our region, his unyielding support for Israel and his far reaching aid for children in need.
Jim McCaffrey
Jim McCaffrey is a dedicated, committed and dynamic leader in our region.  We are grateful for the strong support Jim and McCaffrey’s Markets have given to our organization over the past 18 years.  From a humble little Chanukah lighting with a group of 15 participants in the front of the store in Yardley, to the current attendance of hundreds at the annual McCaffrey’s Chanukah party, Jim’s friendship and generosity in so many ways has been a beacon of light for our organization. Jim is a successful, caring, businessman who believes in children, family and community.  We proudly recognize Jim McCaffrey for his contributions to helping all of us, and, particularly, for his unwavering support to assist children in need.
Shelley Attadgie & Michele Yamin
Since its inception, the Friendship Circle has been dedicated to serving children with special needs. Relying primarily on the time and commitment of its teen volunteers, the success of our program focuses on young people who will share their time and friendship with children in need. As school responsibilities become more intense, greater burdens on the time and challenges are placed on our volunteers.  Shelley & Michele, both Seniors at Council Rock High School, have made Friendship Circle their priority and visited the same child with special needs for four years. This level of commitment to the ideal of giving to others is truly worthy of this award.
Wall of Fame

In the beautiful lobby of the Glazier Jewish Center we will install a “Wall of Fame” where we will recognize the significant contributions made by so many outstanding and devoted friends. Every year at our annual Gala, we will induct a few deserving members of our community, who have made an impact and contributed greatly to the success of Lubavitch of Bucks County. We will honor these distinguished individuals proudly and share these awardees and their contributions with the community.
Vik Dewan
The Philadelphia Zoo has always been a place of fun, joy and celebration of community. It was the natural place of choice when the Friendship Circle, our division that services children with special needs, decided to host its annual "walk" to raise awareness of the program. The Philadelphia Zoo widely opened its doors to partner with us in this venture. The commitment of Vik Dewan, CEO, and his dedicated staff, to the success of our mission plays a vital role in our ability to carry forth with this critical program.
Rita's Water Ice
Rita's Water Ice is a very unique Philadelphia tradition. When the company was bought by a group of investors it immediately set out a program to “give back” to the community.  Under its distinguished leadership, Rita’s has taken their commitment to support local organizations to higher level.  The Friendship Circle immediately caught the attention of their very effective CEO, Jim Rudolph, and his team, who have become invaluable partners in providing our enrichment program and resources.
Butsie & Jay Weinstein
Behind every successful organization are the silent partners, those who give of their time effort and friendship in an assuming way. Jay & Butsie are one of those couples who work in front of the scenes, but mostly behind the scenes to make things really happen. Their unwavering support to LBC over the years is an example of quiet giving and the value of friendship which means so much.
Bruce & Carl Goldstein

Their generosity and commitment to the continuity of Jewish values identity in the area are truly exemplary.  Their tireless efforts on behalf of LBC and the Friendship Circle are sincerely appreciated.  They are outstanding recipients of being the first inductees into our Wall of Fame.
Judy Munroe
Munroe-Picture.jpg "You don't have a second chance to make a first impression." Our motto: Jewish. Done joyfully. has become an instant classic and immediately generates a smile on everyone who sees it. Judy Munroe, CEO Munroe Creative Partners, took the lead in recreating the branding of Lubavitch of Bucks County so that our image can reflect the dynamism of professionalism of our organization. Her generosity and commitment to charitable causes exemplifies the important ways the professional community can contribute of its value to creating a better world.
