A Word From The Rabbi
Dear Friend,
I am really excited!
Over the summer months, while hundreds of children were running through the hallways enjoying every moment of camp, the "back-end" of Lubavitch of Bucks County was hard at work feverishly preparing for our upcoming year of activities. We have refreshed much of our programs and have added some new ones. We all look forward to rolling them out for the community over the coming months.
With this inaugural email I intend to communicate with you every weekend and let you know what is coming up at our center for the forthcoming week. So in case you miss an email, an announcement or an alert, you will have it all in one place. In addition, you will be treated to a weekly thought, as well as featured highlights on our new website.
Ahh, the website. We listened to many constructive comments throughout the past few years and rolled it all into one amazing new site. We hope with the new navigation and richer content, you will find this site to be more than a portal to information about Lubavitch of Bucks County. We hope it becomes your portal for everything Jewish. As the weeks go by we will be drawing your attention to more and more of its features.
Log onto www.jewishcenter.info and check it out. And, of course, please let us know if you think there are ways this can be improved or if you find any bugs.
In the meantime, last week, out of the blue, I received an email from a Jew I never met before he walked into my office on Tuesday. His words tell the story of what we are trying to achieve and what we are all capable of accomplishing through our interactions and conversations with others and our own personal actions. Jewish. Done joyfully. is not just a cute slogan and branding motto. It is the heart and soul of what we strive to achieve everyday in our lives and the lives we touch. It is a personal mandate as well as a responsibility in how we project ourselves to others.
This year promises to be a very Joyful Jewish year at Lubavitch of Bucks County.
Hopefully it will be the same for the entire Jewish people.
Have a joyful and meaningful week,
Rabbi Yudy Shemtov
Senior Rabbi/Executive Director
