Event Date: 6 Tishrei 5736 - September 11, 1975

A girl spoke in a non-religious school in Israel about the Mitzvah of Shabbos candles. She taught them the blessings, and gave them candles and candlesticks to take home.

A young girl at school was delighted, and brought the Mitzvah home and encouraged her family to join her. Little by little, the whole family was transformed. True, a girl under Bas Mitzvah only lights for “educational” reasons, but that candle educated not only her, but her parents and siblings as well. One small Mitzvah, transformed an entire family.
