אַחַד אֶחָד

Reaching every Jew, wherever they are.

וְאַתֶּם תְּלֻקְּטוּ לְאַחַד אֶחָד בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

"And you shall be gathered one by one, O children of Israel." Isaiah 27:12

Isaiah describes the day the Jewish people finally come home. Not one big wave, everybody swept along together. Achad echad, every single person, reached as an individual.

That is actually how the Rebbe lived. He did not send a shliach to Bangkok, or Anchorage, or Kathmandu, because the city mattered. What mattered was the one person there who needed someone to show up for them. A student far from home. A family that had not lit Shabbos candles in years. The Rebbe was never really building an outpost in a city. He was reaching a person.

That is what this initiative is about. We do not wait for people to walk through our doors. We go out and meet each person where they already are, find out what they actually need, and build around that.

What We Do

An online Bar Mitzvah course: twenty short videos on the fundamentals of Yiddishkeit, each with a quiz and a workbook of open ended questions. A boy watches at home with a parent, then reviews it in person with his rabbi. Families end up learning it together, not just checking a box before the big day.

MarriageReset.app

A private app for couples who love each other but feel the distance creeping in. Each week, husband and wife take one small daily action and complete an honest check-in together, with short video lessons from Rabbi Weinstein along the way. It is not for a marriage in crisis. It is for couples who want to stop drifting and start moving toward each other again.

ReadHebrewPrep.com

An online program that teaches anyone, at any age, to read Hebrew with confidence. Ten short lessons, each with two videos and a practice workbook, let a student learn at their own pace, at home. Many use it to prepare for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or a wedding, or simply to follow along in shul.

Strategic Community Outreach

We meet with people, discuss where they're at and what works for them, and provide it. That might be counseling or guidance through a hard season, a special group program built around a shared interest, or a men's mastermind that meets regularly. It might be a Shabbos dinner and discussion for young couples, a pair of tefillin for someone starting out, guidance ahead of a birth, or help putting together a baby naming. Whatever it is, it is built around the person, not a mailing list.

Holiday & Mitzvah Videos

Short videos explaining an upcoming holiday or a piece of Jewish practice, sent directly to people in our community and beyond. No sermon. Just a clear explanation of what is coming and why it matters.

Everything we build is designed so that every person can take part fully, regardless of background or ability. That is not a program of its own. It is simply how we build.

We're also developing The Gap, an app exploring how to close the distance between where we are and where we want to be.

The Achad Echad Initiative is dedicated by Neil and Hedy Hoffman, in loving memory of Neil's parents, Benjamin (Binyomin ben Yisroel Noach HaKohen) and Betty (Brondel bas Yitzchak) Hoffman.
