Type: Dry Color: Red When you taste Goose Bay Pinot Noir, you will see what is meant by Pinot connoisseurs who argue that New Zealand's South Island is indeed "The Burgundy of the Southern Hemisphere". There is little denying that the Pinot Noirs produced in this southernmost of wine-producing countries have a bewitching complexity that is simply not possible in warmer climates. With a translucent crimson hue, Goose Bay Pinot Noir gives off a perfume of ripe red cherry and musk with a hint of beetroot. Flavors of raspberry and dried flowers harmonize on the palate with moderate oak influence. With bright acidity, this is a natural match with roasted game birds, firm-fleshed fish or a stew of lamb and summer vegetables. |
